EMERALD HEIGHTS
REDMOND, WASHINGTON
PNW: INSPIRED + MADE
Nestled in a lush evergreen enclave in Redmond, WA, Emerald Heights senior living community stands as a vibrant visual tribute to the Pacific Northwest. Tasked with creating a modern, energetic, and eclectic aesthetic, the Grand Image Art Advising team delivered a compelling visual narrative inspired by coastal and glacial landscapes—brought to life through thoughtful use of color, subject matter, textiles, and dimensional installations.
Framing finishes are wood tones, evocative of weathered alpine trees and reclaimed driftwood.
All artwork and artists used for this project were local in every facet of this project. It honored not only the landscape, but the creatives that call the PNW home.

A GRAND ENTRY
From the moment you arrive, visitors are greeted by a breathtaking two-story art installation that sets the tone for life at Emerald Heights. Inspired by the beauty and spirit of the Pacific Northwest, this immersive piece features glimmering blue and green gems—a nod to the property's name—paired with hand-sculpted resin wildflowers and river rocks crafted from reclaimed wood native to Washington. Together, these elements flow organically up the wall, forming a striking river-like design that captures the essence of nature, movement, and home. It’s more than art—it’s a warm welcome and a lasting impression.
DINING IN STYLE
Ceramic plates featuring delicate flora in a curated color palette were thoughtfully sourced and arranged to bring the dining area to life—creating a whimsical, flowing display that appears to dance across the walls. The dining area also includes a curated collection of artist prints from the Grand Image catalog.

WHERE SEA + MOUNTAIN MEET
In keeping with the mountain and glacial theme of the first floor, our Art Advising team commissioned a custom wall tapestry for the visitor’s entryway—its rich texture and flowing movement echoing the undulating waves of the Salish Sea.

COASTAL CURATION
The second and third floors pay homage to the Pacific Northwest coast with thoughtfully curated marine life artwork, seamlessly integrated into the light blue palette that defines the spaces. To enhance impact and create a gallery-like experience, modern directional lighting was installed above each piece, adding drama and depth to every floor’s lobby.
The third-floor lobby showcases a powerful cultural touchpoint: intricate wood carvings by Raven Wolden, a local artist from the Sts’ailes First Nation in British Columbia. These indigenous works ground the space in authenticity and regional storytelling.
