Grand Image Releases a Portfolio of 18 Hand Pulled Etchings By Artist Susan Gillette

(April 25, 2005) Seattle, WA - Grand Image, Ltd., A Larry Winn Company, is pleased to announce the release of a portfolio of 18 hand pulled limited edition etchings from artist Susan Gillette. Her foray into etching began early in her career. Seven years of working with internationally renowned woodcut artist, Antonio Frasconi and master etcher, Rimer Cardillo, did much to extend her vision and influence her work.

The portfolio is grouped into four distinctive categories. Faces of the World, a series of six globally inspired etchings, showcase an impressive simplification of ethnic facial features. Le Dessin, a diptych, details the artist's ability to convey to the viewer a vibrant impression of the expressive linear manner in which light spontaneously plays across the paper. The Chez Chez collection, a series of six colorful images, uses minimalist design and austere materials to expand the horizons of the viewer's imagination, and Homme and Femme, a series of four figuratives, powerfully illustrates how Ms. Gillette captivates the subtle movements and gestures resulting from the combination of dominant underlying forces, such as gravity and muscle tension. Color and texture enable her imagery to have a movement within the apparent stillness. The simple beauty of her work is guaranteed to add sophistication to any collection.

Grand Image is known for its contemporary, high style imagery. For more information, call 206-624-0444, email service@grandimage.com, or visit www.grandimage.com to view the entire Susan Gillette Collection.

Grand Image, Ltd. signs English photo artist Faye Heller and includes two works in the June release of their Poster Collection

(May 12, 2004) Seattle, WA – Grand Image, Ltd. is pleased to announce the signing of English photo artist Faye Heller. Two of her works, Start of Fiction and The Memory of Time, will be included in the June release of their Poster Collection, available through Bentley Publishing Group.

Ms. Heller's large-scale photomontages are among the most captivating artwork currently being made. She chooses an evocative way to blur the fine line between fact and fiction. From her extensive catalogue of photo imagery, she captures moments portraying instants of life, objects from the animate and inanimate world, and splits them up, mixes and duplicates them, then restructures them to be re-photographed ultimately producing cool, seductively smart photomontages.

Whether she is juxtaposing a staircase and a woman’s eyes in Start of Fiction, or grand spiral stairs and the contour of a young girl's face in The Memory of Time, her work invokes an element of intrigue and cinematic mystery; a film noir. The crisp black and white imagery also pays tribute to the unconventional style of the French New Wave.

Faye Heller was recently featured in April issue of Interior Design and her works can be seen in the newly renovated The Hotel Continentale in Florence, Italy.

Faye Heller's artwork is published by Grand Image, Ltd and available through Bentley Publishing Group, call 800-227-1666, or visit www.bentleypublishinggroup.com. Grand Image is largely known for its contemporary, high-end imagery. For more information, call 206-624-0444 or visit www.grandimage.com.
